Congressman Randy Feenstra’s campaign announced today that former Vice President Mike Pence returning to Iowa in July. Pence will headline the Congressman’s inaugural Feenstra Family Picnic.
The campaign noted that this is one the first event that former Vice President Mike Pence has done for a member of Congress since leaving office in January.
“Vice President Pence has been a champion for conservative values and protecting innocent life throughout his public service,” Feenstra said. “I’m honored to have him join us for this event as we prepare to win the majority in 2022, fire Speaker Pelosi and deliver conservative results for Iowa.”
The announcement also signifies that Feenstra is in a position to pull in top-name talent for his campaign reelection effort.
“Congressman Feenstra has a proven record of fighting to secure our borders, protect our God-given liberties enshrined in the Constitution, champion Iowa’s farmers and cut taxes for Iowa’s working families,” said Pence. “I am honored to help Randy kick-off the inaugural Feenstra Family Picnic in July.”
The event will take place at the Dean Family Classic Car Museum in Sioux Center.
Pence will also be in Des Moines for an event with Mike Pompeo, and Kristi Noem in July around the same time as the Feenstra Picnic.
Randy Feenstra, a former state senator, ran against incumbent Congressman Steve King in 2020. Feenstra emerged victorious from the primary and went on to defeat the Democratic nominee, JD Scholten by 24 points.
