Wednesday, the National Republican Congressional Committee released an ad reminding voters that their Fourth of July will be more expensive thanks to the failed policies of Cindy Axne, Democrats in Congress, and President Joe Biden.

“Iowans are being forced to pay more to celebrate the Fourth of July this year because Cindy Axne’s wasteful spending has caused inflation to skyrocket. Voters will hold Axne accountable for making everyday goods and services more expensive,” said NRCC Spokesman Mike Berg.

The ad comes after new polling, covered first by Iowa Field Report, showed Axne trailing any potential GOP rival and a generic ballot that heavily favored the Republicans in Iowa’s third congressional district. Last week, the American Action Network announced they would be running broadcast TV ads in the third district focusing on Axne.
