Congresswoman Ashley Hinson’s campaign announced Monday she is receiving the endorsement of every Republican member of the Iowa legislature, not only in her current district but also her new second congressional district.
“Ashley Hinson is a solution-oriented leader who doesn’t just talk about the issues Iowans care most about, but delivers real solutions. She works hard to be a transparent and accessible representative so she can remain a strong voice for Iowans in Washington, DC. We have to make sure Ashley keeps her seat in Congress,” said Speaker Pat Grassley.
Her campaign released a complete list of legislative Republicans pledging their support to Hinson’s reelection campaign. The coalition is headed by the leaders in both houses of the Iowa legislature, Speaker of the House Pat Grassley and Senate Leader Jack Whitver.
“Ashley is the trusted conservative leader we need in Washington right now. She is effective—delivering results for our communities while fighting the destructive Biden-Pelosi agenda. I’m proud to endorse her re-election campaign and know Iowans are going to send her back to Congress in November,” said Senate Majority Leader Jack Whitver.
In a statement to the press, Hinson thanked those who had endorsed her campaign and pledged to continue her quest to bring Common sense to Congress.
“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of these dedicated public servants who understand, better than anyone, that Iowans need common sense, conservative leadership in Washington. I look forward to continuing to work alongside them to improve the lives of working families, small business owners, and farmers in Northeast Iowa.”
Before defeating Liberal Democrat Abby Finkenauer to represent Iowa and Congress, Hinson served two terms in the Iowa State House. Her victory in 2020 flipped the then first district from blue to red. Hinson has established herself as a prolific fundraiser too. Her campaign frequently posts record-breaking fundraising numbers and recently announced they were sitting on $1.6 million cash-on-hand.
