Former two-term, conservative South Carolina governor Nikki Haley is endorsing Brenna Bird for Iowa Attorney General.
Haley who also served as former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations said Bird, “is the only candidate who will back the blue, crack down on crime, and keep Iowans safe” and that “Biden’s policies have no place in Iowa.”
Bird, served as chief counsel to former Gov. Terry Branstad and helped him in efforts to repeal Obamacare and in his fight against the EPA’s unnecessary regulations. She has also pledged to hire more prosecutors and recruit more law enforcement officers to crack down on crime. She is seeking to defeat longtime Iowa Attorney General Democrat Tom Miller

Haley told the Iowa Field Report that Bird is, “a freedom fighter who will stop Biden’s big government agenda and will be a great defender of the people of Iowa.”
On Haley’s endorsement of her campaign for attorney general, Bird said, “I’m thankful to have Nikki Haley’s support and have her join our conservative, pro-freedom campaign.”
She concluded by saying, “This election will be critical to Iowa’s future, and we need a strong conservative voice in the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. When elected, I will support our law enforcement, stand up for victims, and I will never be afraid to prosecute criminals.”
Haley, a possible 2024 presidential contender herself, was in Iowa in June campaigning on behalf of the IA GOP, Governor Kim Reynolds, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, GOP candidate Zach Nunn, and headlined Rep. Randy Feenstra’s Feenstra Family Picnic.
