An overwhelming majority of Republicans serving in the Iowa House of Representatives endorse Senator Chuck Grassley’s run for reelection. A total of 49 Iowa House Members signed a joint letter announcing their support for Iowa’s Senior Senator, Chuck Grassley, a farmer from Butler County.
In a statement to the media, Grassley said the outpouring of support meant a lot.
“I’m grateful for the support of these dedicated public servants and fellow Iowans who like me work every day to improve our schools, communities and local economies,” Grassley said. “It’s an honor to receive such resounding support from our state leaders. They are my partners on the state-level as we work to tamp down inflation, create jobs, keep our families safe and secure and make a better life for all Iowans.”
Grassley began his work in public service as a member of the Iowa House.
Senator Grassley faces only token opposition on his way to the GOP nomination for US Senate. One Republican State Senator has announced their intention to primary Grassley. Still, today’s new list of endorsements shows little support for the challenger with both Tom Jeneary & Jacob Bossman, the two house members of that State Senator’s district, endorsing Grassley.
In addition to today’s legislative backers, Grassley has racked up support from nearly all of Iowa’s top current and former elected officials, including:

- Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks
- Congressman Randy Feenstra
- Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
- Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate
- Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig
- Former Ambassador to China and longtime Iowa Governor Terry Branstad
- Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and U.S. Under Secretary of Agriculture, Bill Northey
- Former Congressman David Young
- Former acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker

On October 9th, during his “Save America” event in Des Moines, Former President Donald Trump formally endorsed Grassley’s campaign. “I’m thrilled to announce tonight that Sen. Chuck Grassley has my complete and total endorsement for reelection,” Trump said at the Iowa State fairgrounds.
