The numbers don’t lie: Gov. Reynolds still reigns supreme with her campaign hauling in $1,386,505. To put that in perspective, especially for those doubting Reynolds’ dominance or political future, she raised as much as every single statewide executive official combined… times two.

Axne opts against challenging Rep. Zach Nunn

Axne, first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2020, lost her bid for a third term to freshman Republican Zach Nunn by just over 2,100 votes in one of the most competitive races in the country. The ad, entitled “Racket”, is a six-figure ad buy highlighting the more than $250 million that NAAG has amassed from state consumer protection settlements and how, under AG Tom Miller’s leadership, this money hasn’t been sent to the victims of consumer fraud but has instead been stashed in foreign investments and used for things like overseas trips for NAAG members and their families. The ad directs viewers to call AG Miller and demand these funds be given back to consumers in Iowa.
